We took part in the planning and direction for the new UT 2013 campaign.
For 2013, “UT POP-UP!” stores are being set up around the world as part of the brand’s new campaign. Starting with the launch of the largest UT store in Tokyo’s Shibuya, the campaign unfolds as it spreads to other cities like New York, Paris, London and Singapore. Various events are taking place at the stores including photo competitions using the “UT CAMERA.”
This “UT CAMERA” is a photo application* which captures and converts the images into “moving portraits.” These “moving portraits,” taken on-site using the “UT CAMERA” app, are spread onto the gallery section inside the app and the UT 2013 website, as well as onto the projection screens at the event sites. (*This application was released on both iPhone and Android.)
Our team at THA were involved in the direction of the TVCM; planning, design and system development for the “UT CAMERA” application; and the planning and direction for the projections.

We took part in the UX, design direction, and UI design for “TABROOM”, the largest online portal for interior and furnitures in the country. At release, the website featured over 164 brands, cataloging over 5,000 types of items on the list.
Users can narrow down their search based on a range of 20 different categories, including “color”, “price”, “size”, “material”, “country”, “media appearances”, “award history”, etc.
Beginning on February 2013, “Design Ah! Exhibition” has been showing at the 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT. Our team was involved in the direction and development of this exhibition, which is an extension of the educational television program called “Design Ah!” that has been airing on NHK. We took part in making “Ah! in motion”, “Room of objects, sounds and movies,” and “Dessin Ah!” come to life.

As part of the MUJI’s Christmas campaign, we created a sugar-town diorama with 100 hexenhaus at MUJI’s Yurakucho store using over 15,000 MUJI snacks and candies. We’ve also created a movie that features ideas on how to have fun making sweets and candies with family and friends.
Posts on Twitter and Instagram with the tag “#mujixmas” are pulled and projected onto the monitors inside the diorama. These posts can also be seen on the website under “everyone’s photos” page.
There is also a 24-hour live camera capturing the diorama and the crowds gathering around the campaign site.

We directed the TVCM for Brother’s new product “PRIVIO.” The product’s key visual is the 4-color dots, which we used as our main motif to express the lively and playful movements of the ink dancing to the sound.
We also created a website that follows the same them of the CM.
